Role Purpose
Ilitha Telecommunications is an integrated internet service provider focusing on providing high-capacity affordable internet service to the communities and businesses. Ilitha target township communities with optic fibre solution and uses Fixed Wireless Access Technologies (FWA). Ilitha also uses third-party networks at wholesale level to deliver services to its clients, where Ilitha does not have a network footprint. To support our Network Operations Centre with a focus on ONU (Optical Network Unit) configurations. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to grow in the telecoms industry while contributing to reliable service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform ONU configurations and basic network setup tasks
- Conduct first – level troubleshooting and escalate issues as required.
- Documents incidents, configurations, and resolutions accurately
- Collaborate with senior agents and field teams to main operational reliability.
- Generate reports on faults, outages, and system performance
- Ensure adherence to operational procedures, service standards, and security protocols
Experience and Qualifications
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Basic to intermediate computer skills (MS Excel, Word, databases)
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication and organisational skills
