Role Purpose
Ilitha Telecommunications is an integrated internet service provider focusing on providing high-capacity affordable internet service to the communities and businesses. Ilitha target township communities with optic fibre solution and uses Fixed Wireless Access Technologies (FWA). Ilitha also uses third-party networks at wholesale level to deliver services to its clients, where Ilitha does not have a network footprint. The Site Foreman oversees on-site fibre and wireless infrastructure activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and to required quality standards. The role manages field teams and subcontractors, coordinates daily site operations, and provides progress updates to support
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily site operations and construction activities
- Manage and coordinate site workers and subcontractors,
- Ensure work is carried out according to plans, specifications, and safety regulations
- Monitor project progress and report on timelines and delays
- Conduct site inspections to ensure quality control and compliance
- Enforce health and safety standards and ensure proper use of PPE
- Allocate tasks and manage workforce productivity
- Assist with material planning, ordering, and stock control
- Resolve on-site issues and escalate where necessary
Required Skills and Competencies
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Good understanding of construction processes and methods
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Ability to read and interpret building plans and drawings
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Good communication and reporting skills
- Time management and ability to meet deadlines
Experience and Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Relevant construction qualification (advantageous)
- 3–5 years’ experience in a construction or similar environment
- Proven experience in supervising teams on-site.
- Valid driver’s licence
- Willingness to travel to various sites as required
